The Philippines is a melting pot of cultures, not only a home to Filipinos but also to those who proudly identify as Filipino by blood.

KUMU content creator Peter Miles (@sm_peter) is one to testify. The 28-year-old confidently states, “I am American, but I am proud to be Filipino by blood.”

An adventurous spirit at heart, Peter shares with Parcinq his love for makeup, shopping, travel, and discovering new cuisines.

“I love food!” he exclaims, adding that exploring different flavors around the world is one of his greatest joys. With a keen eye for fashion and a passion for trends, Peter embraces creativity in every aspect of his life. “Styling myself, dressing up, and using makeup boosts my confidence. It’s how I represent myself to the world.”

And all these things come together when his journey with the blue platform comes to life. It all began in the summer of 2023, a time when things felt a bit lost and lonely. Seeking a way to connect, Peter stumbled upon something that would change his life—an opportunity to join a community where he could truly engage with others and where he found the inspiration to dive into the world of streaming.

Through this journey, he discovered a newfound confidence in connecting with people, building meaningful relationships, and sharing his story. It feels amazing when others recognize Peter as @sm_peter and tell him how his journey inspires them.

“My journey was not easy at all but I took a risk because I believe in the vision and mission of KUMU,” he further shares. “I gained more friends and provided me with an opportunity to sustain my needs and wants. Also, it gives me an opportunity to help other people.”

KUMU has become Peter’s second home in the virtual world, a place where his dreams feel real, especially after meeting so many incredible people in the Philippines who have made this journey even more special.

After all, it’s in his core, as he says, “I love inspiring people by engaging through my experience, perseverance, and being simply unique.”

By setting clear goals and staying focused, he knows that determination and dedication will pave the way to success. “I don't believe in failure,” he says with a smile. “To me, it's just an opportunity to learn and grow.”

Instead of seeing mistakes as setbacks, he views them as challenges that remind him of the beauty in being human—because every misstep is just a step toward getting it right. His philosophy? “Keep striving to be the best version of yourself, no matter what.”
