Staying Real and Steady: KUMU Charmer Kent Gonzales Prioritizes What Matters in 2025

When most people are asked about other careers they’d pursue—besides being an actor, an idol, or social media personality—they might say doctor, engineer, or lawyer. But 23-year-old actor, singer, and KUMU content creator Kent Gonzales (@kentgonzales) has something else in mind—a professional food taste tester.

Warm, chirpy, and authentic, Kent is a face you might recognize from TV shows and films. He made a memorable mark in Sharon Cuneta’s 2019 horror film “Kuwaresma,” where he starred alongside his real-life sister, Pam Gonzales, who also graced the cover of Parcinq Magazine.

But in the virtual world, he shows off more of his personality and his love for music. As he puts it, “I would sing my heart out until I couldn’t anymore,” and he truly means it. On KUMU, his passion for music is as infectious as his energy, giving fans a taste of the real Kent behind the screen.

For him, success is when you’re having a blast and not giving a single care while doing whatever you’re doing. And surely, he’s living that truth every day. Whether he’s singing out his favorite tunes on KUMU, acting on screen, or simply enjoying life, Kent’s laid-back yet passionate approach is what sets him apart from the rest.

For Kent, KUMU became a lifeline, helping him navigate through one of the toughest times in his life. The blue app opened doors he didn’t even know were there.

“KUMU made a significant change in my life,” he says, and it’s clear that his journey, both as an artist and as a person, has been deeply shaped by the community he’s built and the opportunities it has given him.

“I started streaming on KUMU during the pandemic. I met people and built relationships, even if it was only virtually at the time,” he adds. “It was financially tough, but I was able to pull through and save up because of KUMU. It allowed me to express myself and showcase my love for singing in ways I never thought I could.”

What started as a way to connect during a time of isolation has blossomed into something much bigger—a career path, a source of income, and a chance to share his passion with the world.

As 2025 begins, Kent is focused on savoring every moment with a heart full of gratitude. From indulging in his favorite comfort foods to spending quality time with his family, he embraces life’s simple joys. He fondly recalls a special childhood memory—receiving a set of Ferrari toy cars from his parents when he was eight years old—as a reminder of how the little things can bring immense happiness.

For Kent, this year is all about staying true to himself—his music, his craft, his family, and those cherished memories that keep him grounded. While the hustle continues, he’s determined to make the most of every moment, enjoying the ride with authenticity and heart.

Whether it’s hitting high notes on KUMU, diving into new acting projects, or simply living life with intention, Kent Gonzales is a reminder to keep things real and steady in an ever-changing world.
