They say, a person needs three things to be truly happy. But for Rhys Miguel, he only needs one: prioritizing himself first in the pursuit of genuine contentment.

“Always choose your own happiness.” In today’s entertainment landscape where extreme pressure gets ahead of everyone, this is the quote Pinoy Big Brother: Otso reality star, model, and actor, Rhys Miguel wants to embody as he comes back to the showbiz spotlight. Resting from the public’s eye for a while, the exact phrase encapsulates how he wants his career to move forward, as he starts anew.

Ever since his remarkable journey as one of the teen housemates in 2018, Rhys has come a long way. He learns that making decisions for himself in the highly competitive world of show business is important for him to grow as an artist and as an individual. Now, he wants all his choices to fall right into his hand.

“I started doing what I really want and it [making decisions for himself] really made me grow as a better individual,” says the Sportisoy Heartthrob of Tarlac and Kentucky. “After making that choice, I started choosing myself and my own happiness.”

As he ventures into becoming the better version of himself, Rhys’ fresh outlook would probably be the reason why he’s bound to reach greater heights. After taking a break, the model-actor shares that he’s now more motivated than ever, as he’s the type of person who doesn’t easily give up on his dreams. Thus, his family and ever-supportive fans are waiting for him.

This year, the “Four Badboys and Me” actor is certainly gearing up for more, and he’s the one to tease, “expect the unexpected.” When asked about what makes him special from the rest, he expresses that even though he is often shy and reserved, he has a voice that only speaks nothing, but absolute authenticity.

“You can’t please everyone, and it isn’t your job to please them,” quips the "He's Into Her Season 1” star, adding that as he tries to swift through the highs and lows of his career, he wants to remain true to his core.

Being in the industry, it’s not a cakewalk to be in his position. All the more as he continues to maintain his pace and inner peace. But with his natural charm, gentle aura, and optimistic perspective in life, it’s just so easy to capture the hearts of many.

Coming from a reality show, Rhys has already shown how real he is and what he is made of. He has unraveled how determined he is when it comes to making his dreams into reality and improving his craft even more. Returning to the scene, he’s not afraid to unveil what he has to offer and he’s definitely all set to display his acting mettle, in more ways than one.
