#PARCINQSuperFresh Featuring Ken Horiuchi

In the competitive idol industry, it's a continuous battle of authenticity, personality, and talent. Well, believe it or not, Ken Horiuchi of VER5US has no problem with that.

For the second cover of #PARCINQSuperFresh, Ken is poised to say that he ticks all the boxes as he gives premium value to P-Pop through his promising performing prowess and brimming global appeal.

Ken might be too intimidating to look at, but first impressions can often be wrong. When he flashes his warm smile with his smiling eyes, you'll feel welcomed. And it's really impossible not to smile around him.

The reason that he flew from Japan to the Philippines and stayed against all odds screams a lot of his dedication and burning passion. Just like that, he's steadily rising and swooning the hearts of casual viewers who are now turned into his KENDERES and ALLIES.

But there is a lot more to this man than his star power. VER5US' main rapper is here to give you a sneak peek into his life and career.

Q. Introduce yourself to someone new in the fandom.

Ken: Konnichiwa! I'm Ken, one of the members of VER5US. I consider my tattoos as art that represents my journey and memorable experiences in life.

Q. Looking back, is this the career you've ever wanted? Did you ever picture yourself being where you are now?

Ken: I have never actually imagined being here, to be a part of VER5US. I've always had a different career path in mind, but I'm still very grateful to be here with my four amazing, talented brothers from another mother (laughs).

Q. Describe your experience in POPinoy.

Ken: As a VER5US member, POPinoy was such a great experience. I have learned a lot of things when it comes to performing and made new friends along the way. I'd consider this as one of the greatest highlights of my life.

Q. Walk us through your rap process: Do you make your own beat?

Ken: Currently, I don't produce my own beat; rather, I ask help from my groupmate, Josh, who is skilled in that matter. What I do is write my own lyrics for my rap parts in the group. This is also to unleash my own self-expression.

Q. How do you want to be recognized as an artist and/or as a member of VER5US?

Ken: I want to be known as a multilingual rapper and performer. Aside from Filipino and English, I can also infuse our songs with Japanese flavor through the lyrics (like what we did with Winner - VER5US' own composition in POPinoy). With that, VER5US or I can hopefully be marketed internationally in the future.

Q. Favorite POPinoy performance.

Ken: Winner was my all-time favorite performance because we got to create our first original song. It's about our journey that we experienced during our POPinoy days.

Q. Message to your KENDERES/ALLIES.

Ken: I just wanna thank our supporters, our ALLIES, and especially my KENDERES who supported me all this time. Thank you for inspiring me to pursue my passion and be a good artist. Love you all, oh diba
