Talk about putting OPM on the map—2024 was a real game-changer for Filipino music. From BINI’s year-long creative “lockdown” to the rise of fresh talents who’ve made it onto our playlists (gatekept or not), the local music scene thrived alongside industry icons and indie gems.

According to the latest year-end report, the Philippines emerged as one of the fastest-growing markets for premium streaming of local songs among non-English-speaking countries. With streaming platforms bridging the gap between artists and audiences, last year became a defining moment for OPM, and of course, P-pop—a movement that’s only gaining momentum as we head into 2025.

And with P-pop soaring to new heights, trailblazed by BINI, SB19, ALAMAT, and more, Parcinq is here to introduce you to three rising groups ready to take the spotlight.

In P-pop, one thing is important: authenticity—to be able to relate to people, to be able to express yourself genuinely, and to be able to stay true to who you are. SY.NC stands out in a sea of new pop groups by being able to produce their own story. They embrace the power of individuality while celebrating their collective unity.

Each member has a unique role to play, whether it be songwriting, choreography, or even styling each other’s outfits. Composed of Pen, Asa, Jai, Sevi, Lee, Clyn, and Drew, the group is under Underdog Music.

This commitment to authenticity is what makes SY.NC different. They don’t just follow the trends as they set their own. They believe in creating music and moments that resonate with their fans, drawing inspiration from their own experiences and dreams, making every track, performance, and interaction something real and meaningful.

SY.NC, together with Hey Rookie, a new-generation fan community platform, has launched the Starburst Alternative Universe. This project invites their fans to actively participate in the group’s journey as idols, creating an exciting and engaging experience for everyone involved.

This exciting new chapter signals the beginning of something bigger.
