Meet Kumu x PARCINQ Runners-up: Ella Marie Chavez, Algeleth Mika Pardo, and Olga Buenaventura

Ella Marie Chavez

Known as @Babyyybear on the platform, Ella Marie Chavez’s success story is by no means an accident. Winning the campaign and gracing a magazine feature is a result of the relentless hard work she dedicated over the past four years, and she earned every bit of it.

"I was one of the youngest streamers back then, starting from scratch and earning all my followers over four years," Ella vividly recalls. Now, she is one of the pillars of the platform, and Ella aspires to soar even higher from here on out.

Differing from the typical responses, Ella shared that Kumu made her feel significant. The platform provided her with direction in life and a sense of purpose—spreading joy and extending a helping hand. Certainly, Ella won't have to wait another four years to solidify her name on Kumu, as her perseverance alone makes her worthy of recognition.

Ella admitted that gaining independence was the most memorable gift she received this year. "I never would have imagined that, at the age of 22, I would experience such complete freedom and be doing what I wanted to do with my life."

While we may never have an insight into Ella’s life outside the app, we celebrate with her for finding the courage to stand on her own. Ella sums up her 2023 with the words “peace and healing,” and we hope she continues to achieve more of these in the years ahead.

Olga Buenaventura

Three years ago, being seen on televisions, magazines, and billboards was not on Olga Buenaventura's bingo cards. Fast forward to now: @olgaofficial on Kumu is already a platinum badge holder, hosting alongside big names on the platform. And to sum it all up, it means a lot to her.

There's no way Olga would pass up on fantastic opportunities; hence, she tried her luck on the fourth Kumu x PARCINQ campaign.

“Who wouldn't want to be in a magazine? Not everyone is given an opportunity like this, and as a goal-getter, I grabbed it right away." She could only express that the experience indeed surpassed her expectations.

Olga emphasized that she couldn't have achieved it without the support of her fans. "I wouldn't be where I am today without the unconditional support they've given me. I don't know what I did to deserve them—my Olganics, Olganization, Marenation, Alliance, Denden's Junjins, and many more."

Giving back to your parents is one thing, but Olga shared that the most memorable gift she received this year was having her parents experience her life as a content creator for a day and see them enjoy the process.

Good vibes. Olga's 2023 description is proof that good things truly come your way when you enjoy and love what you are doing.

Algeleth Mika Pardo

In 2020, Algeleth Mika Pardo initially sought a space on Kumu with hopes of joining a hit reality show. Two years later, she returned and discovered a home on the platform instead as @algelethmikapardo. Wherever I look, it seems to be the right calling for her.

Mika places a premium on genuine connections, a practice that allowed her to reach a wider Kumunity. "I'm most grateful for the opportunity to connect with Kumunizens worldwide and be a source of inspiration and support for all of them."

Moreso, in her offline interactions, Mika values personal relationships, and the air of authenticity seamlessly manifests wherever she is.

Since her return to Kumu up until this moment, Mika expressed that everything has been a blast. This year, in particular, has brought a multitude of blessings and learning experiences, and she attributes it all to Mika's Angels.

"The most memorable gift I've received this year as a Kumu streamer is the new set of livestreaming gadgets from my fans here in Kumu. I'd like to thank them for their continuous love and support."

It's evident that Mika is well-loved and supported by her fans, and we're one with them in prayer, wishing for a more fruitful, meaningful, and opportune 2024.
