Drag, Drama, and Divine Moments: A Look Back on Brigiding: The Brand Season 2

Brigiding's iconic talk show, "Brigiding: The Brand," concludes its second season in October, leaving fans with a lasting impression. The show, which airs first live on Kumu, coincided with the third season of Drag Race Philippines, which provided viewers with a double dose of drag entertainment every Thursday.

Throughout the season, fans were treated to hilarious prank calls, memorable queen lines, and heartfelt interviews with the talented contestants of Drag Race Philippines. One of the most memorable moments was when Zymba Ding, Brigiding's first drag daughter and a Top 5 finalist in Drag Race Philippines Season 3, appeared as the first guest of the season.

Brigiding's exceptional hosting skills played a crucial role in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for her guests. Her ability to connect with people on a personal level made them feel comfortable sharing their stories, often leading to deeply moving and vulnerable moments.

Khianna with a K’s interview was a prime example of this, as she shared personal experiences that she had previously kept private. This showcased the power of Brigiding's hosting style in fostering a sense of trust and understanding. Beyond the humor and entertainment, Brigiding's talk show provided a platform for genuine human connection and self-expression.

Kumu not only played a significant role in the show's success, but it has served as a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community, providing a platform for queens to express themselves freely and connect with fans in real-time.

During the pandemic, Kumu became a home for drag queens like Marina Summers (UK Vs. The World Top 4 Finalist), Precious Paula Nicole (Drag Race Philippines Season 1 Drag Superstar), and Captivating Katkat (Drag Race Philippines Season 2 Drag Superstar).

Aside from the entertaining moments, the show also highlighted the importance of representation and acceptance. Through interviews and discussions, the queens shared their experiences and challenges that could potentially inspire viewers to embrace their individuality.

Overall, "Brigiding: The Brand" Season 2 was a roaring success, leaving a lasting impact on the Filipino drag scene. The show's combination of humor, heart, and talent made it a must-watch for fans of drag and entertainment. Watch the finale with Drag Race Season 3 winner, Maxie Andreison, on October 24, 7pm, live on Kumu.

And if you want to relive your favorite moments from past episodes, you can easily rewatch them on Brigiding's YouTube channel. Ding! Ding! Ding!
