Cloud 7 is on Cloud Nine—and Rising!

For Cloud 7, the ride is even more colorful with “rainbows.”

We’ve all been asked this question at some point—whether in a high school essay, a beauty pageant Q&A, or a job interview: “Where do you see yourself in the next five years?” Sometimes, the answer comes easily, rolling off the tongue in the heat of the moment. Other times, it’s a perplexing thought that lingers.

But deep down, at the back of our minds, we wonder—are we merely saying what sounds good, or do we truly have a clear vision of where we’re headed? The future is unpredictable, of course, shaped by opportunities we seize and challenges we overcome. While some may have a meticulously planned path, others find themselves navigating life’s twists and turns, adapting as they go.

And for the young, carefree, and fresh P-pop boy group who is as boundless as the clouds, Cloud 7 is embracing the journey with open hearts and limitless dreams.

‘Silipin ang Mundo’

As leader Lukas answers the very same question—if he could peek into the world, or as their latest song goes, “Silipin ang Mundo”—he envisions stepping through and seeing Cloud 7 still standing strong, traveling the world, and bringing OPM to every corner of the planet.

“Imagine performing in iconic places like Times Square, Tokyo Dome, or even on a floating stage in the middle of the ocean—anywhere and everywhere, with fans singing along, no matter what language they speak,” he shares.

Tight-knit and driven, these young P-pop artists dream bigger than themselves, yet remain grounded as they grow. As lead vocalist PJ, known as the group’s “smooth and softie” member, expresses, “Our goal is to make people feel alive and inspired. We want our audience to feel connected to us,” as they all want their music to be not just melodies, but a refreshing experience.

And since their debut in August 2023, they’re taking everything higher even though they admit that sometimes, it can be fast and overwhelming. Main dancer Migz acknowledges how fast everything has been moving but remains grateful for the love and support they’ve received.

“Since debut, every moment has been a learning experience,” he quips, highlighting how they strive to grow and improve each day. While the pace can be intense, he sees their latest nomination at the 6th Village Pipol Choice Awards for Rising P-pop Group of the Year, as a major source of motivation which further pushes them to work even harder.

“Our goal for Cloud 7 is to create music that not only entertains but also inspires,” the “middle child” and the “super OA” of the group Egypt says. “We want to release more songs that encourage people to chase their dreams and never give up, no matter how hard the journey gets.”

‘Tara Na’

Their youth might catch us off guard, but their mindset is anything but ordinary. It’s not about maturing beyond their years, it’s something like the kind of refreshing perspective that comes from Filipino teenagers carving their path in the music industry.

With their debut single “Tara Na” amassing over a million streams, “kuya of the group” Kairo couldn’t be more grateful for the milestone. In a scene where hard-hitting tracks and boy-crush concepts often dominate, Kairo believes Cloud 7 stands out by being “a breath of fresh air, offering youthful, inspiring, and heartfelt music and performances.”

But beyond their sound, he sees something even more special. “It’s also our genuine bond and connection with our fans, whom we call our Rainbows,” he adds, as he says they are also the heart at the core of their journey beyond the clouds.

For Fian, the group’s “maangas” yet “makulit” member, the support from their fans is something he never takes for granted. He recalls one of the most touching messages he received—someone sharing how Cloud 7’s music helped them through a difficult time.

“It really stuck with me because it reminded me why we do this—to inspire and connect with people,” he recalls. Knowing their songs can make a difference in someone’s life fuels his passion even more. And to their ever-supportive fans, he has one heartfelt message: “Thank you for always believing in us. Your love and support mean the world!”

And of course, their journey wouldn’t be the same without a little push from their musical influences. Main vocalist and all-rounder Johann admits that discovering SB19 was a turning point for them which inspired their passion and work ethic. Watching the P-pop Kings train and perform made them realize what it takes to succeed in the industry.

“We look up to their professionalism and incredible talent,” he adds. And if given the chance, Johann wishes, “Hopefully, one day, we’ll get to collaborate with them.”

‘Nasa Cloud 7 ako!’

As their “Rainbows” continue to grow, the pot of gold for them has always been making a difference with their music. As the newest idols of this generation, with a vision of inspiring and uplifting others through their songs, Cloud 7 is set on creating a legacy that goes beyond the stage. As sentimental as they are, the group always looks back to where they started.

When asked about the perfect place to listen to “Silipin ang Mundo,” Lukas is instantly transported back to where it all began—Mindoro, the place where Cloud 7 first performed and shot their debut music video.

“Mindoro holds a special place in my heart,” he reminisces. “It was one of the first places we performed in, and it’s where we brought our vision to life on camera for the first time. Every time I think about it, I remember the rush of those early days—stepping onto the stage, feeling the crowd’s energy, and realizing that this was just the beginning.”

If he had the chance to play “Silipin ang Mundo” there now, Lukas envisions doing it while watching the sunset at White Beach or standing by Tamaraw Falls, soaking in the moment. “The beauty of Mindoro and the memories we made there make it the perfect backdrop for this song.”

And maybe, just maybe, Cloud 7 will return one day; this time, for another music video. “Who knows?” he says with a smile.

Yes! That’s another uncertainty—or perhaps, an exciting possibility. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about having all the answers, but about embracing the journey. What truly matters is the willingness to grow, adapt, and chase a future that stays true to who we are, no matter how our dreams take shape; no matter how we glimpse into the world and hope for the best.

Just like Cloud 7, who started so young but dreamed so, so big, “No matter how far into the future we go, as long as we’re still doing what we love together, that’s the dream.”
